Herman Miller have a brand new home at the Hopewell Centre
A move from Warwick House, Taikoo Place, to Hopewell Centre, Wan Chai, has seen Herman Miller gains better access and visibility to Hong Kong’s Central Business District (CBD), enhancing connections with the leading furniture company’s audience.
Connection was front and centre in the design thinking for Herman Miller’s new space. For contract clients and architects and designers, there is an area that functions as a Living Office, with a range of settings programmed to the need of the Hong Kong and regional market. Architecturally, the design team created clean, open, light filled spaces that are not only an inspiring landscape in which to work, but also showcase Living Office settings and products from the Herman Miller family of brands in a gallery-like manner.

Mohamed Chabarik* will show you the story behind a Valcucine drawer through the art of mosaic.
“I was born in Aleppo, in Syria, in 1978. I have always expressed myself by drawing, I love working with my hands, searching for technical and material solutions. Discovering mosaic art has been a way of combining all this, a way of telling about the world.”
Italian wines and delicacies will be served.

The Roca One Day Design Challenge is a competition against time aimed at students and young professionals under 30 years old who are starting out in the design and architecture sectors.
During the competition, participants tackle the challenge of creating original solutions and innovative concepts related to the bathroom space in just one day.

The Otto collection, bearing the same alternating radial and tangential cut lines as the Cipher lighting collection also designed by Yabu Pushelberg for Lasvit, provides dramatic texture to careful line work and well-defined silhouettes. The design was approached with a balance of refined detailing as it applies to both the rustic qualities and the precise craftsmanship of each piece.
