Daisuke Ishii

Daisuke Ishii takes on a dual role as General Manager and Chief Art Director at Studio 5, Sony Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. He leads a team in charge of developing designs for smartphones, smart products and peripherals and is responsible for the different design teams in the fields of industrial design, interface design, graphics design, colour and material and 3D visualization, with offices around the globe. Thanks to his design experience in Sony Corporation both in Japan and in the UK, his design expertise covers such fields as personal video, audio, robotics right on up to development and demonstration projects. His designs have earned many international awards and he has also taken a part of the iF jury in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan.
